Fresh Shrimp Tacos
These are to die for delicious. 10/10 would eat every day of the week! For real.
Yield: ~2 servings
Prep time: 30 minutes | Cook Time: 15 Minutes | Total time: 45 minutes
Shrimp Blend Ingredients:
1 lb of wild caught Argentinian Shrimp
1 lime
1 lemon
Cumin, salt, pepper
Fresh cilantro
For the shrimp blend mix, cook your shrimp until tender. Then add you lemon and lime juice into a bowl with all your seasonings and cilantro. Toss your shrimp in, mix and put into the fridge.
Spicy Cilantro Sauce:
Mayo
Sriracha
Fresh cilantro
Lime juice
The spicy cilantro sauce is eyeballed. Add a hefty spoonful of mayo, and a decent drizzle of sriracha into a bowl. Mix until the colors blend and add 1 squeezed lime, a lot of fresh cilantro. The consistency should be smooth and but not wet and soggy. If you want your sauce extra spicy, just keep adding more sriracha and maybe an additional hot sauce (we recommend Cholula).
Slaw Mix Ingredients:
1/2 head of fresh red or green cabbage
Fresh cilantro
1 cucumber
1 small red onion
1 avocado
Spicy Cilantro Sauce
The slaw mix is my favorite. Finely chop your fresh cabbage, cucumber, avocado and red onion. The finer it is chopped, the easier it is to eat in your taco! Once all your veggies are chopped, add in your spicy cilantro sauce until it is evenly coated.
Other Ingredients:
Flour or wheat tortillas
Fresh avocado and mango for garnish
To finalize everything, pull your shrimp blend out of the fridge and scoop a spoonful onto your tortillas. Add a spoonful of the slaw and then garnish with fresh avocado, and mango! If you have leftover spicy cilantro sauce, you can drizzle that on top too! Enjoy!!
