Our Story
In 2019, Rich Seewald took the leap of faith to open Rock Hall’s newest produce and natural foods store out of (used to be) car garage. It started with a few tables of produce to a full fledged operation with tons of new produce, local meats, plants, gourmet baked goods, specialty groceries, gifts, and so much more! Each day Fresh Start grows a little more with the support and love from our community.
Fresh Start Food and Garden is family and veteran owned, coming from a generation of farmers, who also share our same passion. You can find them at Willey Farms in Townsend, Delaware and Cross Street Food and Garden in Galena, Maryland.

Fresh Start’s mission is to provide our community the best of the best for the betterment of our health, environment, community and family. We are established on a commitment to support our community in their journey of a healthy life. You, our customers, are our motivation to learn, grow and expand every day.
Our future plans for Fresh Start is simple - growth. From growing our selections of goods and location and to help enable stronger growth in the local economy. A stronger local economy is not only in Fresh starts best interest but for the other businesses in the town as well.
